Disappearing Desmond jacket

With the book dummy nearly finished, I've begun working on the jacket for Disappearing Desmond. Here are some of the sketches I sent my editor and designer. Which is your favorite? Which one do you think we picked?

PS This is a book about a shy kid who hides and comes up with creative ways to disappear into the background because he is afraid of being noticed.

Oh, can't wait for the book to come out! Hard to pick without reading it, but I'll guess #2!

I vote for #2 or #3. #2 being visually dramatic, but #3 very clever. It makes me laugh. Plus, I was just reading that plaid is very "in" right now. Nice options.

Good luck.

Ooh, I LOVE #2! It reminds me of the next-door neighbor from Home Improvement. Does that make me sound old? Anyway, I agree- great options!

I like the behind-the-fence one. It makes you want to know more about that kitty guy!

Number 2, it's the only cover where he "disapeares", making sense with the title!

#2 and #4 are tied in my eyes.
Love the reference to 'Home Improvement.' One of my favorite shows.

I love #2! They're all cute and clever, but #2 is the most kid-friendly and has the most visual impact at a glance, to me. Fun stuff!
